A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to schedule a class or demonstration.The final 50% is due the first morning of class. Students are responsible for their own lodging accommodations.

Basic Bladesmithing

Advanced Bladesmithing

(Some experience required)

• Handforge 4" - 6" double edged dagger blade

•File, sand, polish, harden, temper the blade

•Mount, sand, polish, stain, oil the handle

Basic Damascus Forging

(Some experience required)

• Forge a San Mai style blade of barge tow cable

•San Mai spring steel hammer welded in for blades cutting edge

•File, sand, polish, harden, temper the blade

•Cast a pewter bolster, mount, sand, polish, and oil the handle

Pipe Tomahawk

(Some experience required)

• Forge traditionally styled pipe tomahawk from old rifle barrel and spring steel

•Drill and shape tomahawk

•Forge weld in a high carbon spring steel bit for your cutting edge

Basic Bowie

(Some experience required)

•Classic southern styled bowie from old hoof rasp, cross cut saw blade, and custom wooden handle

Basic Sword Smithing

•Forge a classic 18" - 20" double edge blade

•Craft double edge sword with iron guard and wooden handle

•File, sane, polish, harden, and temper the blade

•Mount, sand, polish, stain, and oil the handle

•Sharpen the blade

Basic Rifle Building

(Some experience required)

$1800.00 • 5 Day Class • Lunch Provided

• Intensely build a classic poorboy style rifle or pistol completely by hand

•Build your own trigger, trigger plate, ramrod thimbles, and  front & rear sight

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING: full set of large files/handles, full set of needle files/handles,pattern makers wood rasp with handle (Woodcraft), small drill index, wooden mallet, center punch, full set of wood chisels (Millers Falls), other owned tools you may need.

YOU WILL NEED TO ORDER: one flintstock (Builder Supply or Petaconia), one swamped barrel with breech plug (Builder Supply or Petaconia - in your preferred caliber), one stock with barrel channel and ramrod hold drilled, two 8/32 lock bolts with 3/8" head, one 8/32 tang bolt with 3/8" head, one package of 3/4" wood screws, one package of 1/2" wood screws.
